About B.B. Stamats

President Stamats Landscape Design
B.B. Stamats current residential and commercial clients are located in Westchester, Dutchess, Putnam NY. and Fairfield Ct. counties. B.B. performs a full range of services including site analysis, long range and seasonal planning, small and large-scale design, plant material selection and installation. Over the last decade, her special focus has been on container gardening including the year-round use of pots in the landscape.

American Nurseryman & Fine Gardening have published many of her articles on all facets of container gardening & landscaping design. She has developed many lectures on these topics which have been received by local garden clubs, horticultural and general audiences. She is on a list of speakers at the New York Botanical Garden, The New York Federated Garden Clubs and Zone III of the Garden Club of America.

B.B. received her certificate in Landscape Design in 1989 at the New York Botanical Garden. She currently teaches four courses on Container Gardening in addition to Planters & Window Boxes, Hanging Baskets, Basic Pruning in the Northeast and Scale & Proportion for the Homeowner. About the Indian Creek Nature Center Co-founded by B.B. Stamats
Co-founded in 1974 by B. B. Stamats and Jean O'Donnell. The Indian Creek nature Center is headquartered in a renovated barn. It has access to 234 acres of nature and hiking trails, restored wildflower fields and forests. The 30 year old center has become an integral part of the Cedar Rapids Community providing a unique place for exercise, solitude, education and relaxation and is one of the most outstanding nature centers in the mid-west due to the efforts of the community, its staff and countless volunteers.
